The work. Sequential equilibrium with Wilson, the reputation model with Milgrom, Roberts, and Wilson, and the Kreps-Porteus preferences underneath modern asset pricing.

The case for. He is the most decorated game theorist without a Nobel, and two of his co-authors, Wilson and Milgrom, won in 2020.

The case against. Game theory has been rewarded in 1994, 2005, 2007, and 2020, and the committee left him out of the auction prize. Born in 1950, he is not the committee's kind of applied.

The KmikeyM angle. The Kreps reputation model shows why a player behaves well now to be trusted later, and that is the entire business model of a man whose shareholders can vote on his conduct.
