The work. A Harvard economics PhD, a Wall Street career, vice-president of Argentina's central bank under Macri, then head of the Council of Economic Advisers in Javier Milei's first years. His published economics is thin; his policy footprint is the Argentine stabilization of 2024 and 2025.
The case for. None in the academic sense. He is here because Polymarket listed him on its opening day, October 6, and a few hundred dollars of Argentine enthusiasm priced him at seven cents, above Hal Varian.
The case against. The prize goes to economic science. Reidel has not published it. The market line is a bet on a meme, not a committee.
